The Gatekeeper!

During a meeting to discuss the visuals for their upcoming production, Founder and Architect of As One Music & Entertainment (William L.) was quoted stating. “As our eyes are the gateways to our souls, our videography must be the gateway to the genuinity of our content”. And who else to better serve as their gatekeeper than photography/videography extraordinaire Mr. Phillip Hamer. Phillip Hamer, for his phenomenal work as a photographer/videographer, is a bonified local legend in the city of Saint Louis. Since the inception of the idea to film in his city, he had been listed as a “must have”. So, it was of no surprise that in February of 2021, when the company got the green light to stage their first production, the first call that was made was to none other than Mr. Phillip Hamer himself.

We had to call him first. Not only is he an amazing talent, but with this production being so heavily dependent on such intricate and complex visual concept, we needed someone of his caliber to help us find ways to make things happen without us having to compromise on what we had envisioned. I can honestly say that this project wouldn’t be where it is without him and that his addition to the crew was one of the biggest wins we had during this entire project.

As a theater based production attempting to deliver an entertainment experience like no other, during a pandemic, It only made sense for As One Music & Entertainment to not only put a great emphasis on their visual concepts but on acquiring one of the most talented visual artist in the city as well.
